Humanity in Action develops international educational programs for university students and young professionals from Belgium, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Denmark, France, Germany, Hungary, Israel, Netherlands, Poland, Sweden, Turkey, United Kingdom, United States and Ukraine. The fellowship will be based on the exploration of diversity issues, national histories of discrimination and resistance, as well as examples of issues affecting different minority groups today. The tenure of fellowship is five weeks in the summer from June 1 to June 26, 2013. The fellowship is tenable at Amsterdam, Berlin, Copenhagen, Lyon and Warsaw. Eligibility criteria and application deadline may vary for every nationality may vary. The students must possess good communication skills.
Study Subject(s): The Humanity in Action Fellowship brings together international groups of emerging minority rights leaders to explore diversity issues, national histories of discrimination and resistance, as well as examples of issues affecting different minority groups today.

Eligibility:Applicants must be:
-Currently enrolled undergraduate students (in at least their second year of university);
-Currently enrolled graduate students;
-Recent graduates of an undergraduate university (no earlier than 2012).
Scholarship Open for Students of Following Countries: Students and recent graduates from universities in Bosnia and Herzegovina, Denmark, France, Germany, The Netherlands, Poland, Turkey, Ukraine and The United States can apply for this fellowship.
Scholarship Description: The objective of the Humanity in Action Fellowship is to facilitate a collective exploration of the social
and
political roots of discrimination, as well as to provide a forum where
potential solutions to some of today’s most challenging issues can be
considered and discussed. The programs are also intended to instill a
responsibility among Humanity in Action Fellows to recognize and address
the need to protect minorities and promote human rights—in their own
communities and around the world. Separate programs take place for five
weeks every summer in Amsterdam, Berlin, Copenhagen, Paris or Lyon, and
Warsaw and applicants will meet the participants from the other

What does it cover? Humanity in Action covers the costs of participation and accommodation during the fellowship, including participation in the Humanity in Action International Conference. Humanity in Action will also cover the cost of the flight to and from the program city. Although Humanity in Action provides a modest food stipend, fellows should also plan to bring spending money for food and social activities during the program. Also,in Poland and Germany fellowships are free of charge.
Selection Criteria: Admissions to the Humanity in Action Fellowship program is highly competitive.
Selections are made on the basis of demonstrated commitment to minority rights and social justice, evidence of leadership potential, significant academic achievement, and social maturity.Humanity in Action does not discriminate on the basis of race or ethnicity, religion, political party, gender identity, sexual orientation, physical or financial ability.
Notification:Based on your written application, you may be invited for a personal interview with the admissions committee. The interviews will take place in Warsaw in March. The exact date and time of the interview will be communicated via email.
