Pakistan 50th Anniversary Fund Scholarship at University of Strathclyde in UK, 2013


University of Strathclyde is offering Pakistan 50th Anniversary Fund Scholarship for master’s students in UK. The scholarship funding is available for one year and is not renewable. Candidate must have first class honors degree from a recognized university of Pakistan and should have a relevant work experience. Priority should be given in the field of engineering, computing and business management or any other subject. The scholarship covers the tuition fees/living costs/return travel/other expenses. Study Subject(s): Courses offered by the university but priority to subjects in the areas of engineering, computing and business management or any other subject which the partners deem acceptable or which cannot be pursued adequately in Pakistan.
Course Level: This scholarship is available for pursuing master’s degree level.
Scholarship Provider: Funds donated by the late Mr Yaqub Ali through the Scottish Pakistani Association to the University of Strathclyde Foundation.

Eligibility: -First Class Honours Degree from a recognized Pakistan University. Since this scholarship is offered on the basis of financial need, candidates with multiple degrees will NOT be considered.
-Candidates must be in their home country at the time of application; candidates should have relevant work experience and have not previously studied in the UK; candidates must return to Pakistan at the end of their studies and serve there for five years.
-The awards are made for one year only and are not renewable.
-Candidates will not be permitted to undertake further study on completion of their masters’ degree.
-Priority to subjects in the areas of engineering, computing and business management or any other subject which the partners deem acceptable or which cannot be pursued adequately in Pakistan.
Scholarship Open for Students of Following Countries: Only students of Pakistan can apply for this scholarship.
Scholarship Description: In celebration of the 50th Anniversary of the Foundation of the State of Pakistan a small number of scholarships are awarded by the University of Strathclyde from funds donated by the late Mr Yaqub Ali through the Scottish Pakistani Association to the University of Strathclyde Foundation.
Number of awards offered: One award will be offered for entry in September 2013.
Duration of award(s): Scholarship is offered for one year.

Notification: Shortlisted candidates may be requested to attend an interview with the selection committee in Pakistan in May 2013.
